Our doctor’s work on an appointment system and booking in advance is necessary.

Every effort is made to accommodate your preferred time with your chosen doctor.

Please book one appointment per patient. Additional patients will be charged so please allow us to allocate the correct amount of time for your consultation.


Appointment Length

Please advise reception when making your booking if you require a longer consultation time. Common procedures that require a long consultation include:

  • Driving medical

  • Family consultations

  • Home doctor or nursing visits – Home visits are available for patients who are unable to come to the practice due to their condition. Home visit fees apply.

  • Lung Function Test / Spirometry Medical exams

  • Pap Smear

  • Recreational Dive medical

  • Special access requirements (such as the need for an interpreter)

  • Vaccinations


Open Clinic

ARMC currently offers ‘open’ sessions from Monday to Friday between 9am and 12 noon. No appointment is required for these sessions. Patients are seen on a first in first seen basis unless our medical staff determine another patients condition is more urgent.


Book on Day Appointments

ARMC reserve limited ‘book on day’ appointments for patients that require an urgent appointment. Please advise reception if you require an urgent appointment.


What to Bring

Health care card (if applicable)



Please notify the practice as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment.

You may be charged a fee  for a missed appointment:

  • This fee is not subject to the Medicare rebate.

  • If your doctor is unable to make your appointment you will be contacted by our reception staff as soon as possible.

Please advise reception if you would prefer to: see your doctor at their next available appointment keep your appointment time and see another doctor (if available) Ensure the practice has your current contact details and remember to notify the practice if these details change.


Fees and Consultation Time

Standard Consultation* – $78.00

Medicare Rebate – $37.60

* Standard consultation = 15 minutes

Long Consultation* – $132.00

Medicare Rebate – $72.80

* Long consultations = 30 minutes

Fees are payable at the end of the consultation. We accept payment via cash, cheque and EFTPOS


Additional Fees

Payable to ARMC:

Additional or special fees may apply to treatments, investigations, procedures or home visits performed.

Examples include, but are not limited to, excisions, ECG, spirometry and vaccinations.

Please ask reception staff for an indication of the additional out-of-pocket expense that may apply.


Payable to Third Parties

There may be additional out of pocket expenses payable to third parties for applicable tests that you may be referred for such as X-Rays and ultrasounds. Such payments will be made to the test provider.


Discounted Fees

We offer discounted fees to:

  • Health Care Card (HCC) holders (valid HCC required)

    1. Pensioners

    2. Children under 5 years of age

The average out of pocket cost to the patient for a standard discounted consultation is $25.00.

We do bulk bill Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) patients (Please provide valid DVA identification)
